CAPTAIN ROBERT CORK – Director Flight Operations
Captain Cork started his career in aviation in 1976 and has more than 15,000 hours flying time. This experienced veteran of thirty three years has worked progressively as a Line Pilot, Deputy Chief Pilot and Chief Pilot for a number of different organizations. Prior to joining Phoenix Aviation, Rob managed an air charter company in Mombasa for seventeen years, bringing tourists from Europe to Kenya.
Currently Rob has taken on the position of Director of Flight Operations, responsible for the supervision and co-ordination of operations, crew planning and ground operations.
CAPTAIN WILLIAM K WOOD – Chief Pilot
Captain Will Wood has been flying commercially since 1983, accumulating more than 14,500 flying hours. He holds a Kenyan A.T.P.L. and United States F.A.A.A.T.P license with endorsements in Group 1, including CE 560XL, C-550, BE20, BE30 and C-406. His flying experience includes working for various non-governmental organizations, the Kenyan Government, and Flying Doctors (African Medical and Research Foundation).
CAPTAIN OMAR KHAN – Safety Pilot
Captain Omar Khan has more than 13,000 flying hours. His aviation qualifications include Republic of Kenya Airline Transport Pilot, FAA ATP & Certified Flight Instructor, FAA Citation 500 & Beechcraft 1900 Type Rating, and Republic of Pakistan Commercial Pilot. He started with Phoenix Aviation in 2004 as a Line Pilot on the Citation Bravo C550 and King Air BE200. In February 2006, he was promoted to Deputy Chief Pilot and Flight Safety Officer and flies private charters, as well as medical evacuations in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe for the company.
